Megan Gale plans to wow the crowd at the Caulfield Cup today in her most adventurous outfit yet.
The undisputed queen of racing glamour will forgo the traditional frock, opting for a fuchsia pink Lisa Ho pant suit. « My suit will pop. I always keep an open mind when I’m trying things on, » she said from the stables of Gai Waterhouse yesterday, where she tried to get close to jittery gelding Tullamore. « He’s a sook, » Gale declared.
But by the end of the shoot the pair were old friends, Megan showing a talent for horse whispering. « I love all animals, » she said.
Gale will not be attending today’s races with her Carlton beau, Shaun Hampson. « No, I’m flying solo, it’s a work day, » she said. « I’ll have my work hat on, literally. »
The work hat being a sculpted Nerrida Winter affair.
Gale, a spring racing stalwart, cannot confirm if she will attend any race days at Flemington over the carnival as she may be overseas, but where or why she would not disclose.
And as for her shiny new L’Oreal contract? Gale said it was a big surprise: « It was unexpected, it’s been a real whirlwind. » – Staff writer, HeraldSun
